Ryley Avon | Team Padua
Ryley's Student Visionaries of the Year Fundraiser
Hello! My name is Ryley Avon and I'm a junior at Padua Franciscan High School!
A little background on me, I myself am a childhood leukemia survivor! I was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia at 18 months old. After a tough journey and with the help of so many people, I was in remission a few years later! I can speak firsthand on the wonders that the LLS can achieve. I have worked with LLS as an ambassador since my remission and have also been an ambassador for their "Pennies for Patients" program!
The minute I heard that Padua had an LLS team, I knew I needed to be a part of it. Last year I had the honor of being a team member and this year I am SO EXCITED to have the honor to lead Padua's team! With a cause hitting so close to home, I knew this was an opportunity to spread the word and help toward the goal of a cure for blood cancer.
So many lives are touched by this cause and please know that any and all donations you can provide will help save lives. As a team, our goal is to reach $15,000! With YOUR help, I know we can reach that goal.
If you are not currently in a position where you're able to donate, please please please share this link!! The more people it gets to, the more exposure this foundation receives and that in itself can help change lives.
Thank you so much for the opportunity to share a little bit of my story and continue to give back to a community that is so greatly in need<3
Ryley's Student Visionaries of the Year Fundraiser
Visionaries look to the future—and see infinite possibility.
They challenge the status quo—and make the impossible possible.
They boldly imagine a better world – and lead the charge to create it.
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society was built on that same vision - of a better world - one without blood cancers.
I am a visionary; I have a vision for a world without cancer, but I need your help.
This year, I’m proud to be a part of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Student Visionaries of the Year Campaign, working to raise as much as possible for LLS’s mission.
As a global leader in the fight against blood cancer, LLS:
- Funds cutting-edge research leading to breakthroughs in immunotherapy, genomics and personalized medicine that are improving and saving the lives of patients
- Provides free education and support for blood cancer patients and families, including personalized, one-on-one support, assistance with identifying and enrolling in clinical trials, and more.
- Mobilizes thousands of advocates to drive policy changes that accelerate the development of new cancer treatments and break down barriers to care.
Please consider joining this fight by making a donation. All donations are greatly appreciated and tax-deductible. Please visit my website often and tell friends who would also like to donate!
Thanks to your support, my efforts will help ensure this generation is the last to see cancer.
On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere, thank you!

Ryley was the reason I got involved with LLS so many years ago. Its wonderful to see her continue to be an advocate for LLS and the cure for cancer. I miss my cousin who passed from leukemia many years ago. A friend who has been involved with LLS for years just found out her husband has leukemia. Cancer sucks! We need to support LLS and find a cure. Thank you Riley for your commitment to LLS.

My mom was diagnosed with CLL several years ago. She is fortunate enough that this type has her living a “normal” lifestyle. She has her bloodwork done every 3 months and if the oncologist feels she needs a treatment, then she has one. Typically they have no side effects. She is very fortunate, but we are always thinking of those that aren’t. Let’s find a cure soon!!
